The Center for Consciousness Studies, housed in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, brings together scholars from philosophy, cognitive science, neuroscience, the social sciences, medicine, the physical sciences, and the arts and humanities to advance interdisciplinary inquiry into consciousness.

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences also offers a minor in consciousness studies through the Department of Philosophy.

The center’s leadership reflects its interdisciplinary mission. The Center is directed by Jonathan Weinberg, Professor in the Department of Philosophy in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and its Associate Director is John Allen, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology in the College of Science.
